Children's Chapel

Children's Chapel is a wonderful program to help children connect each week with the meaning of the liturgy and tradition of the Episcopal church!

CHILDREN'S CHAPEL - ages 3-12

CALLING ALL CHILDREN! Come celebrate the GOOD NEWS!

FIRST and THIRD SUNDAYS each month at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the UNDERCOVE of St. Matthew's.

This is not your ordinary Sunday School. It is a participative learning program for children ages 4 to 12 where they can learn through readings, music, arts and crafts. They will find out why we kneel when we kneel what is an antiphon what is Rite I and Rite II, what the different segments of the celebration of the Eucharist are.

YOU’RE INVITED to Come, Experience and Learn the way of Christ, not only in the church but also in the world

YEAR 2: August 28. 2011 until January 22, 2012

Weaving God’s Promises is a Christian education program for children from age 3 to age 11-12 (6th grade). This program follows a three-year cycle giving children a solid grounding for future youth formation programs, which in turn prepares them for Christian adulthood.

Weaving Together the Family of God, the program for 2011-2012, is the story of how we became God’s people and part of the household of God, the Communion of Saints.

Once we were no people, but now we are God’s people. Children study the Gospel of John, with its stories of the encounters of individuals with Jesus and their transformation in the light of his love. Of course there will also be snacks, crafts, and a game or two thrown in for a fun time.
