One of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church missions is the support of the Valley Food Bank through food donations, monetary donations and volunteer time.

The generosity and support St. Matthew's has given the Valley Food Bank during year 2010 and the current 2011 year has been greatly appreciated by the families in Valley County who rely on the Food Bank to help them put food on their family's table during these trying economic times.

You have made a direct difference in someone's life every month of the year through your thoughtful gift of food.

ST MATTHEW'S COLLECTION DATES is a week after each distribution day.

The Valley Food Bank serves 80-90 people/families in Valley County, not only at each designated monthly date, but also in-between times.

The Valley County Food Bank located at 1020 1st Ave. North, is open the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 12-4 p.m. unless there are 5 Tuesdays in the month, then it will be open the 4th Tuesday of the month.

to the Valley Food Bank

  • TIME
    • This is a great way to give of your time to help our community.
  • FOOD DONATION
    • You can donate non-perishable food items to the food bank anytime by leaving the goods at the back of the nave or in the Parish Hall. We’ll make sure they get to the right place. Gifts of perishable food items may be donated by directly contacting the Valley Food Bank. They will advise you as to how you can give perishable gifts.
  • MONETARY DONATION
    • Make a monetary donation and leave it with either Fr. Fay or Laurie Koessel. They will make sure the Valley Food Bank receives the donation.
